Anna Svenson is Katrina's grandmother. Anna is an elderly woman who has run Anna's Old World Scandinavian Coffeehouse for many years. Anna is set in her ways and refused to make changes to her coffeehouse even when a new coffeehouse moved in next door. For this reason, Anna lost many of her customers and now struggles to survive. As Katrina tries to support and aid her grandmother, Anna tries to hide the truth of their situation from her. In the end, Katrina saves the business and Anna learns how to incorporate the modern world into her small town coffeehouse.
