What is the author's style in Coffeehouse Angel by Suzanne Selfors?

The language of the novel is simple English. Even though many of the characters in the book are of Scandinavian or Suquamish ancestry, there are few foreign words in the novel. The novel also does not contain much slang or other unusual language that might confuse a reader.
