Circe is looked at as a strange child: she is not powerful, like her father, or beautiful, like her mother Perse. She is not like her siblings, the crafty Perses, the antagonistic Pasiphaƫ, and the cunning Aeƫtes. No, Circe is odd looking and frail, more mortal in appearance than divine.
