Chapterhouse: Dune takes up where Heretics of Dune leaves off in Frank Herbert's philosophical investigation of the meaning of life, power, and religion. It continues drawing heavily on the mythologies built up in the original trilogy and God Emperor of Dune, but emphasizes that Leto II, the Tyrant, dead for 1,500 years has nowhere in mind for humankind when he launches the "Golden Path."
