Spiritual growth is the dominant theme of the book. The author's goal of the book is for readers to better understand and therefore follow the proper path to achieve spiritual growth. While the book addresses many Disciplines and steps that are available as part of a group, spiritual growth is something very personal and individual. The basis of spiritual growth comes from a inner transformation of the spirit. It is available to all individuals, but often it is not accomplished by very many of them.
