Mr. Smith is the name the newspapers attach to the serial killer making his way through Massachusetts, and even parts of Europe. The murders themselves are gruesome affairs, as Mr. Smith often performs autopsies of his victims while they are still alive. In the end, we find that Thomas Pierce is actually Mr. Smith.
