Who is Inocencio - Father from Caramelo, or, Puro Cuento: A Novel and what is their importance?

Inocencio is Celaya's father and Soledad's first and most beloved son. He was raised in Mexico City with his brothers and sister. Inocencio is a daydreamer and loves thinking about love and misery. His parents joke that he is miserable if he is not thinking about something sad. He devotes his life to his family and is always torn between the three women in his life. His mother is his heart and soul, and he knows that she will always do anything for him.
