THE CAR ONLY WENT thirty giant steps before it commenced to bucking and finally cut right off.

Hyperbole:

They looked like they could bite a pretty good grapefruit-sized chunk out of you.

Simile:

The mustard was real pretty, it looked like some kind of magical fog, every time I moved the bottle the mustardy smoke went into a different kind of shape.
