Who is Sister Angela (Mother Superior) from Brother Odd and what is their importance?

Mother Superior at the St. Bartholomew's Abbey, she is one of only three people at the Abbey who know about Odd's rather odd gifts. She claims that she and her sisters live as though from a time in the early part of the last century before the Church had lost its confidence and the Bishop's were all crazy. Though born in 1945, she feels that she would prefer to have lived in the thirty's than in this age of computers and satellites. Her eyes are the same color of blue of the periwinkles on Royal Doulton china, and she is an intelligent and engaging woman with great emotional strength and fortitude.
