How does Cromwell obtain the evidence used against Anne Boleyn?

Cromwell gathers evidence against Anne by paying people off and deploying spies. He then uses the evidence against her to force her to step down. Anne, however, refuses, and Henry goes on with a trial against her, which ultimately leads to her execution.
