Who is Aphrodite from Betrayed: A House of Night Novel and what is their importance?

Aphrodite is the former leader of the Daughters of Dark. She lost her role when she lost control of the spirits she conjured up on Halloween night. When Zoey saved the humans from the spirits, Neferet replaces Aphrodite with Zoey. Aphrodite's father is the mayor of Tulsa. Whie Zoey and Aphrodite are enemies at the start of the novel, Aphrodite ends up helping Zoey solve the mystery and uncover the truth about Neferet by the end of the novel.
