Beatriz is the only other woman in the group of terrorists other than Carmen, and she is Carmen's complete opposite. Brash, aggressive and crass, Beatriz embodies the stereotypical, uneducated girl from the jungle. Her main interest while staying in the house during the seige is watching soap operas on television. She is described as an excellent soldier, but she rarely thinks for herself.
