Bartleby the Scrivener, A Tale of Wall Street

Can you think of any other possible solution(s) to Bartleby’s problem? Were the events of the story to occur at the present time, would the outcome likely be different?

Bartleby's only solution to his problem would have been to face it head on and make the most of his circumstances. Working in an office, particularly, set on Wall Street implies team work..... getting the job done amidst and in cooperation with other people.

In today's world, the outcome might be different. All kinds of things have been put into play to assist workers in their attempts to be comfortable in their environment. Perhaps Bartleby would have been helped by a companion..... perhaps, he might have preferred to work from the comforts of his own home.
