John Storrow from Bag of Bones is a laywer for Avery, McLain and Bernstein. John specializes in custory law and is the man that Mattie engages when she fights Max Devores attempt to win custody. The reader learns that John is tenacious, sports red hair and freckles, and that he has had feelings for Mattie since they were both in school. He has plans to ask her out once he's no longer her lawyer. He never gets that chance because she is killed right in front of him.
