Buddy is the best fry cook in Western Maine who plies his trade at the Village Restaurant and is known for his 'Villageburger'. He wears a dirty white cook's apron, although his finger nails are clean and his black hair is tucked under a white paper cap that is stained with something red. Buddy could be anywhere from fifty to seventy years of age, and is a big man. He shambles over to his customers - all six foot four of him - and despite his close to three hundred pounds, he could be described as almost graceful. He has a wit that drips of sarcasm and is reflected in the bumper stickers he uses for decoration. As it is in most small towns, there is a kind of dark humor at work in Buddy.
