Significance of El Garganta del Diablo, Peru

Eight months before Chad's kidnapping, Jack Coldren's former caddy, Lloyd Rennart, killed himself by jumping off a cliff in Peru, known as El Garganta del Diablo. The name translates as Throat of the Devil. The body has never been found, which is not unusual at the difficult to access chasm.
