Baby Teeth is composed of 39 chapters of roughly equal lengths, each alternating perspective between Hanna to Suzette. The novel follows the traditional arc of a psychological thriller, with the rising action spurred on by mounting relational conflict. Hanna and Suzette’s mother-daughter relationship is at the center of the narrative, and their feelings towards one another shift dramatically over the course of the novel.
