Always upbeat and positive, Yogananda has a clear perception of the negativity and evils of the world as simply being part of the "maya" that keeps us in the cycle of rebirth and death. Ultimately, he sees the large picture of life as something of a game that we will undoubtedly someday conquer and win. In the meantime, all the suffering, hardship and negativity in the world is here for us to learn from, and is karma intended for us to burn away by our good works and devotion to God.
