Kokopelli can be seen as a trickster figure for human and non-human life. His music leads the lizard and all other living creatures into a future of certain doom..... impregnating the earth with death. Conversely, he can also be seen as a symbol of fertility and life, which are about to be lost to the ravages of a nuclear explosion.
