The symbolism of Soredamours' name, "gilded over with love," foreshadows her happiness in love and alludes to the golden color of her hair. The shirt that is partially stitched with Soredamours' hair foreshadows their later union and is ironic since it was made before Soredamours knew that Alexander would be the recipient.
