This quote refers to the act of someone bringing home problems and not being surprised when trouble follows.

if you challenge someone or a situation never complain when they / it comes after you

That's one of my favorite proverbs! It means one should expect the natural consequences of his/her actions.

(ants attract lizards, geckos, termites, etc).
