White is the Assistant Director of the NAACP. His presence is requested in Detroit by McKinney when they learn the charges against the Sweet group. He is white, and the lead investigator for the NAACP. He helps put together the defense team for the Sweets. He succeeds Johnson has executive secretary of the NAACP and holds the position for 26 years helping to knock down the barriers of racial discrimination.
