In Chapter Five, Mollie’s behavior becomes agitated. She arrives late for work, claims she is injured to avoid work, and is spotted by Clover near the border of Foxwood, allowing Mr. Pilkington to stroke her nose and talk to her. Although she denies it, Clover decides to go to Mollie’s stall where she finds sugar and ribbons hidden away. Mollie soon disappears, and shortly after, she is seen pulling a painted cart, all dressed up and and accepting sugar from a man who appears to be some kind of manager. She is never mentioned again.
