I'm not sure which battle you are referring to, but throughout the text, Snowball faces battle head on and takes a vested interest in what the outcome will be.... he is a planner.... he is organized. Napoleon, on the other hand, does not involve himself in battle, he is an observer rather than a participant. From this, we can infer that Napoleon prefers to give orders and have other do his dirty work.
