Lou and Sylvia Levov from American Pastoral are Swede's parents. They are immigrants to the US and have worked hard to build up Lou's business. Now retired, he assists Swede. Lou is very opinionated, but kind hearted. He whole heartedly believes in the American Dream, something that he's passed on to his sons. He is very proud of them all, and quite tolerate of Merry, even when she begins war protesting. He is very traditional and thinks that someone who isn't Jewish is just a little lacking. He makes Dawn agree to many things before he will give his blessing on their marriage.
