Who is Low Key Lyesmith/Loki from American Gods and what is their importance?

Low Kye Lyesmith is Shadow Moon's roommate in prison. He is transferred before Shadow's release, but they meets again at the center of America, where Low Key is revealed to be the god Loki. Loki is masquerading as Mr. World. He and Wednesday planned the war between the gods so they could feed off of the battle and chaos. Laura stabs him with a stick from the World Tree, and Loki dies when Shadow stops the battle.
