When Anzia first arrives in America she believes that she is about to realize her dreams of a new life.... a chance to express herself artistically rather than spend every waking hour working in order to survive. The America she envisioned was a far cry from the one she imagined. She had to work long hours for little money, she was always hungry, and she she need to learn the language in order to fulfill her dreams and open up new opportunities. In the end, she learns that she has to create her own world.... that the opportunites are there for her, and that dreams do come true.
