Jose Rene from Always Running: La Vida Loca, Gang Days in L.A is Luis's brother. His nickname is Rano (which means frog) and he is older by a couple of years. Unlike Luis, he excels at school and is into athletics. He is the polar opposite in temperment and ambition than his brother. However, for all of that, they are close and love each other.
