All My Sons, Act 3, Section Two Why is Chris so disappointed in his father?

Chris is disappointed that his father never took responsibility for his actions, that he allowed another man to go to jail, and that because of him, Chris has come to a point where he will do nothing..... he is disappointed in himself because his father has made him practical.
