Mrs. Flanagan from Al Capone Does My Shirts is Moose and Natalie's mother. She is obsessed with seeing her oldest child, Natalie, get the help that she needs so that she won't have to be institutionalized. She is focused only on getting Natalie the help that she needs and when it isn't forthcoming becomes severely depressed, completely making her unavailable to her youngest son, Moose. Finally, she does begin to see what her obsession has done to her family.
