After the Kiss is written in verse. There are two different narrators. Camille writes in the second person, referring to herself as you throughout the novel. Camille's verse is a modern type of poetry that does not include rhymes, but is more like thoughts randomly meandering over the page. Becca writes in the first person. Becca's poetry is more traditional, a rhyming poetry that is random in its style, but reminiscent of both classical and modern writers.
