In Chapter 11-12 of Huckleberry Finn Jim and Huck come across a half sunken steamboat. Huck goes on board to 'have and adventure' Tom Sawyer style. But what he finds are three robbers. Two of them are talking about killing the other one to keep him from telling anyone about them. Huck goes back to Jim and they decide to cut the robber's boat loose.
