In The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, what lesson does Jim teach Huck?

Jim teaches Huck many things, but one very good example is at the end of the novel when he sacrifices his freedom to save Tom Sawyer. He is teaching Huck about self sacrifice and ethics; what it is to be a good person, true friend, and a man.
