Who is the antagonist in A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K. Le Guin?

The novel's antagonist is the Shadow that Ged accidently releases and cannot control. Over the course of the novel, he must learn to control and contain the shadow, which in reality is a representation of himself.... his dark side. Thus, Ged is battling his own negative traits.
