What illegal methods does Ozzie employ to gain information from the suspected bomber?

Ozzie uses several methods beyond the boundaries of the law to gain information and cooperation of a suspected bomber. These include excessive force. Specifically, he uses force beyond what is necessary to take the suspect into custody by bashing him on the head with his nightstick. Although in custody and restrained, Ozzie then continues to injure him by breaking some of his bones in an attempt to gain information. He also handcuffs the subject to the house gas meter and places the suspected bomb between his legs to get him to deactivate the bomb. While his reasoning is understandable and effective, his actions are not justifiable. If they were willing to move the bomb themselves, they could have moved it beyond the range of the house to a safe area.
