Importance of Deed

The deed is a symbol of Jake’s compassion. Jake offers the deed to his home to get Drew, who has not been found guilty of a crime, out of jail and back home with his family. Jake offers his deed because he knows that Jake’s family has no collateral to put toward Drew’s release.
