What kind of trainer or handler was Captain?

According to Raja, the Captain is not cruel and takes good care of him. When the Captain pushes Raja too far, however, Raja kills him. It is important to remember there is no such thing as a "tame" tiger...... the tiger will always be a tiger. A tiger can be trained and imprisoned, but its desire to be free..... its inherent traits..... cannot be removed..... only subdued.
