Sansa Stark from A Storm of Swords is the daughter of Ned Stark (deceased) and Catelyn Stark. She is the sister of Robb Stark (deceased), Bran, Rickon, and Arya Stark. She is a half sibling of Jon Snow. Sansa, in this novel, has been promised to Willas, in the house Tyrell (Margery's brother), however, before it can happen, Cersei steps in and betroths her to Tyrion, forcing them to be married. They go through with the marriage, but Tyrion will not sleep with her until she permits it. Tywin Lannister is pressuring Tyrion to impregnate Sansa as soon as possible so that they can secure the Northern lands. Sansa, as far as they know, is the sole heir to Winterfell. Meanwhile, Sansa has made an arrangement with Sir Dontos to escape...which she does. Dontos takes advantage of Joffrey's wedding to sneak Sansa from the castle (something she was more than willing to do since she's afraid that they will accuse her of Joffrey's murder) and gets to a boat and escapes. Peter Littlefinger has orchestrated the escape. He is in love with Sansa as she is the spitting image of Catelyn, his long time love.
