Importance of George Goddard

George is the shooter. His daughter, whom he thinks of as “Lil,” has had an abortion that he connects with the Center because of a pamphlet in her room. Lil’s real name is Beth. She has performed a medication abortion on herself using drugs she bought off the Internet. Believing the Center performed the abortion, George enters the Center with a gun in a fit of rage. After shooting several people, he feels confused and uncertain of what to do next. The reality of the shooting is much different than what he imagined. His main concern is what his daughter will think of him.
