A Rose for Emily

How does William Faulkner use point of view as a way of making the story "A Rose for Emily" more interesting?

This story is told in a first person point of view, but it is used differently in that it has an almost 'confessional' tone to it. The use of the term 'we' instead of 'I' gives a haunting tone to the story as it unfolds.
