Why doesn't Roger ever ask Mia what color his name is in the novel, A Mango-Shaped Space?

Roger is also the only person in Mia's class who doesn't ask Mia what color their name is. Mia asks him one day about that and Roger reveals that he is colorblind. While Mia's world is filled with color, Roger's world is devoid.
