How is Mr. Forrester different than the other investors when the bank fails in the novel, A Lost Lady?

After the bank failure, Mr. Forrester shows his belief in the importance of honor. Even though the other owners of the bank have skirted their responsibilities to the people who have entrusted their money to them, Mr. Forrester cannot allow himself to be rich while these people lose much of their money.
