Cedric has mixed emotions about his father. His father had never been a part of his life, and he had spent most of his time in prison. On the occasions that Cedric actually sees his father, their time together often serves to make Cedric angry and confused. On the other hand, Cedric's dad is an enigma.... he is fascinated by him, all while being embarrassed by him. Over time, their meeting provide Cedric with a sense of identity, and the two even go on to have a cordial relationship.
