What does Benjie think about lying, and how did he break his code in the novel, A Hero Ain’t Nothin’ but a Sandwich?

Benjie hates for people to lie to him. Lying is one thing that he cannot stand. Everybody can be wrong sometimes, but when you are wrong, you should stand up and admit that you are wrong instead of lying. The only time that Benjie broke his code was when he stole three dollars from his grandmother's purse and did not admit that he did it.
