Jaime Lannister from A Clash of Kings is King Joffrey's Uncle, and son to Tywin Lannister. He upset his father's ambitions by taking the cloak of service to become a Kingsgard. Kingsgard knights are not allowed to father children or hold lands. Jaime did it so that he could be close to Cersei since they are lovers. In this novel, he's escaped from Robb Stark and is watched by a female knight.
