Kenny's feelings about Larry Dunn change when he notices that Larry has cardboard inserts in his shoes to cover up the holes in the bottoms. Until this time he's thought that Larry was 'uppity' and needed to be taught a lesson. Now, he approaches Larry's actions from a different perspective, and he is able to have some sympathy for him.
