What does Claudia do with the dolls she gets for X-Mas?

Claudia doesn't like Shirley Temple or the white dolls she receives for Christmas with the big blue eyes. To the dismay of the adults, she dismembers these dolls, trying "to see what it was that all the world said was lovable."
