The time span covered is the late 40s to early 50s. The narrator is telling the story to himself, or thinking out loud about all of the events. He does this to process all of the information of the events that has happened to him since his life has been impacted by the banker Andy. Andy was imprisoned for killing his wife and her lover. Andy tries to defend himself from the sisters constantly, but inevitably is overpowered by them and raped. I'm not certain what the last question is asking. Sorry. Hope this helps!
