How are John Barton and Jacob Coote different from each other?

John Barton and Jacob coote have many difference. but the most commen ones are that John Barton came from an edukated family, and also is a good and hard working student.where as for Jacob Coote don't have a familly back ground as John and also is not that smart on studies.

the other diffrence is that John doesn't know what to do to his life where as JAcobe is prity sure that he wants to bea machanic when he finishes school.

John Barton came from an upscale family and he was expected to become a powerful politiican. The pressures of being someone that he was not and living up to expectations that weren't his own, were his undoing. Jacob Coote suffered some of the same pressures, but in reverse. No one expected him to amount to anything, but in his heart, he knew that he could be more. In the end, it is the boy who has the most privileges and money that fails (commits suicide) and the boy that no one gave a thought to, was successful. John could not find the strength to go against the plans others had for his life, Jacob was able to.
