The monster's first memories are almost all sensory impressions. He had a hard time distinguishing light, sound, and smell. He wandered aimlessly and took refuge in the forest near Ingolstadt away from the sun (he didn't like the heat). He was hungry, thirsy, and suffered from pain...... the moon was his only consolation.
